What it feels like to be there…
With iconic cloud forest, jungles, mountains and secluded coastal bays, Costa Rica has unrivalled biodiversity, making it something of a modern-day Garden of Eden. Climb through the rainforest canopies growing on an active volcano, then raft the rivers that flow off its sides. Bathe in ancient hot springs, swim under dramatic waterfalls, surf rolling waves and watch turtles hatch and flap down the beach.

Some practical information worth knowing…
Most flights arrive via the capital San José, but smaller Liberia airport also services the west coast from several major US airport hubs. The road network to tourist sites is good. The weather is typically hot and humid, especially in the rainforests near the centre of the country.
