What it feels like to be there…
There is a sense of excitement about walking where the Earth’s crust is so thin: all that bubbling heat waiting to envelop you. Trek over the volcanoes and amazing snowscapes on foot or by 4×4, then warm up in your own bubbling Jacuzzi. Head out at night and savour the clean Arctic air under the Aurora Borealis.

Some practical information worth knowing…
Reykjavik’s Keflavik Airport is the only major entry point, but (troublesome ash clouds aside) it has great links to European travel hubs and major capitals. The weather is always cold, so pack plenty of thick fleeces, under-layers and a weather-proof jacket – but don’t forget a swim suit for the geothermal pools!
