Russia is the largest country in the world, spanning from Europe, across Asia to the edge of the Americas. The range of its societies and environments is astounding, yet it has a proud unified culture and a style all its own. Despite their austere, frosty demeanour, the people have a wicked sense of humour and a lust for adventure.

Some practical information worth knowing…

Moscow is the main travel hub, though St Petersburg also has direct international flights. From here, connecting flights service the rest of the country, including the Black Sea resort Sochi. Arctic winds keep temperatures cold to mild all year round, so dress warmly and elegantly to match the locals.
