Switzerland keeps you so well entertained that burning off those fondue and chocolate calories is a breeze. The rugged mountains issue a challenge, but the picturesque valleys say take your time – luckily, the locals love to help with both. Picture yourself with a mulled wine in front of a log fire after a fun-packed Alpine day.

Some practical information worth knowing…

Zurich, Basel and Geneva are the busiest airports in Switzerland, and while mountain roads take time to navigate, the amazing scenery is a worthwhile reward. Dress warmly, with lots of layers and a good wind-proof on top. Getting local currency is easy, but remember you aren’t in the Eurozone, so plan how much you need.
